Sang K Chhoeuk
Owner and Wine Apprentice

Sang is originally from Cambodia and was sponsored & brought over to America through local charities here in Worcester.  He then grew up just two houses down from The Wine Vine in Worcester & went to Doherty High School and has a Bachelor of Finance from Nichols College.  He worked two jobs to put himself through college at night and is where Sang & Camille met.  After their long days of work and night school they often would go out at night for dinner and a glass of wine where they realized that they both shared a common love for good wine & good food but wanted to be able to share it with others in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere which is what inspired them to some day open their own wine boutique that will offer great & affordable to collectable wines that all can enjoy in a relaxing, warm & welcoming environment.  He brings his many years of cost accountant expertise along with his personable service where his love for wine comes to life.  He has been certified as an official Wine Apprentice by "The Wine Spectator" for his gained knowledge of the wine industry.  He is constantly following, studying & researching newest wines & is well apprised of good vintages and is well known for finding & special ordering hard-to-find wines for his customers.  All wine is personnally hand-picked & tasted before carefully considering bringing the wine into The Wine Vine's portfolio.  Sang's real gift is not only knowing his customers by their names, but also listening, learning & understanding their likes & dislikes so he is able to find just the right wine for their individual palates with his friendly & down-to-earth approach.

WOW!  Reasonably priced wine, beer, cheeses, bread, crackers, mustard, and on and on.

Camille, one of the owners, helped me pick out everything for an impromptu gathering this evening.  She made me feel so welcome and introduced me to her husband, Sang, the beer expert.

I cannot wait to go back ... I have been searching for such a store since I moved to Worcester - WOW!

This place is great! I had to stop myself at 2 bottles of wine and a 6 pack because my Saturday night dinner was going to be all liquid if I didn't!

One of the owners, Sang, was a great help. He answered all of my questions and seemed genuinely happy to answer them. I don't encounter that too often and really appreciated it.

I have always wanted to try a dessert wine and Sang helped me choose a Spanish Moscatell which was very reasonably priced. On my own I decided to try an Italian red. I perused all of the wines and there is something for everyones budget and taste.

Sang also helped me pick out a 6 pack of 60 minute Dogfish Head IPA which should please my Husband's palate.  I had my eye on a Chimay but I think I'll pick that up next week.

This place has a little bit of everything to go with your beverages too. Pates, sausages, local cheeses, crackers -- I could have made my dinner from just shopping here! The gift baskets were all well done too. Nice to know since I always have someone on my list that is a pain to shop for.

Sign up for the newsletter! They have wine tastings every Friday night. I can't wait to try that!

They are located right behind the Sole Proprietor parking lot with parking on Highland Street.
